Kenneth Joseph LaMere, 65, of Great Falls, a mechanic and construction worker, died on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Peace Hospice of complications from COPD.A wake will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1826 7th Ave. So, Great Falls, MT.A funeral service will be held on Friday March 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes, with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.Kenneth was born on July 29, 1946 to Norman and Florence (Brien) LaMere in_Havre, MT_.He worked construction for many years.He loved stock car racing, and had lots of kids racing at times.He loved to watch his grandkids bike racing.Kenneth is survived by his wife, Julie LaMere; daughters Annette (Lessel) Scott, Billie Jo LaMere, Bobbie Jo LaMere, Lisa (Vernon) Hill, Heather LaMere and Jennifer (Jeremy) Ivie, all of Great Falls, and Trina Lindsey of Central Point, OR; sons Kenny (Eleanor) LaMere, Tony (Vicki) LaMere, Brian LaMere, Johnny (Jamie) LaMere, and Patrick (Amanda) LaMere, all of Great Falls; a sister, Mary Matt of Great Falls; a brother, Norman LaMere of Great Falls; 27 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Kenneth loved all of his family and friends.He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Florence LaMere; brothers Clifford, Bud, Albert, Al, Matthew, and Jess Motch.Condolences may be left for the family at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
