Kenneth Geary

Kenneth Ken M. Geary, 94, of Great Falls, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home and Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Westside Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Westside Methodist Church with burial at Manchester Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Ken was born on August 13, 1920 in Grass Range, Montana. He grew up and attended schools at Flat Willow Creek near Grass Range. He served in the Army during WW II from 1942 to 1945. Completing his military service he went to work with his dad on the family farm in Little Snowy Mountain near Grass Range. He moved to Great Falls working at General Mills, Montana Mills, and the ALM Company. He then went to work at Malmstrom AFB and Ft. Harrison.He married Marjorie June Padginton in Lewistown on May 25, 1947.Ken was a member of the Westside Methodist Church and the Rambling Sams Chapter of the Good Sams club. He enjoyed woodworking, needlepoint, and raising birds.He is survived by his son Delos Del (Lois) Geary of Great Falls; daughter Norma (Jim) Sims of Great Falls; five grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.Ken was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie; his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.Memorials may be made to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405.
