Kellan Scott Seaman, 51, of Fairfeild, known for his piercing blue eyes, caring heart, and smile, passed away on April 27, 2017 from cancer.A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Youth Center, 301 Fleming St, Augusta, Montana. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Known as Kelly or Kel by many, he was born on March 25, 1966 in Great Falls, to Gary and Tillie Seaman. He was raised and attended school in Fairfield. After high school, he was known for his skill in handling heavy equipment, winning awards at heavy equipment competitions. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver most of his life. Kelly worked hard his whole life and often worked more than one job at a time. At the time of his passing, he was a maintenance technician (snow plow driver) for the State of Montana.He lived for many years on his place west of Fairfield, where he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and being part of the Augusta community. Kelly loved to fix things and give them new life, whether it was an old Ford truck, bumpy dirt road, weathered barn or a broken heart. He enjoyed learning new things, such as glass etching, making jerky and sausage or trying a new recipe. He will be always remembered for his generous spirit, big heartedness, and his fun personality. Kelly abundantly made friends and memories.Kelly is survived by his sister, Deb (Ron) Allen; brothers Bill (Tammie) Seaman and Ken (Karla) Seaman; 9 nieces, Rachel, Carly, Candice, Crystal, Beth, Kate, Juli, Lauren, and Faith; his partner, Gena Wrenfrow; her daughters, Cassie and Sami; and by many friends he considered as family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Tillie Seaman.Kelly Seaman - gone, but never forgotten.
