Kathryn Mae (Rehal) Green, 85, a retired banker, formerly of Great Falls residing in Billings passed away Saturday, May 5, at a Billings care facility of natural causes.Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 9, from 5 to 8 pm at Schnider Funeral Home in Great Falls.Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 10 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Great Falls.Kathryn was born March 1, 1927 in Chester, MT.She was raised and educated in Chester graduating from Chester High School.She then attended Northern Montana College studying business.Kathryn worked for her father in their confectionary store during high school.In 1947, she moved to Great Falls and started her banking career at Great Falls National as a messenger. She continued working in the banking industry as the family moved following her husbands military career.Upon his retirement, they moved back to Great Falls where she worked the next 23 years for First Bank Systems. Upon her retirement in 1986, she became a member of RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) and the Foster Grandparents Reading Program.Kathryn enjoyed reading, gardening and playing her keyboard.Most importantly, she found great joy at family gatherings.Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Hoiland of Great Falls and Carolyn (Lyndon) Fehr of Morden, Manitoba; sons Steven (Renea) Green of Billings and Robert (Debra) Green of Spokane, WA; nephew Marvin Sunderland; and brother-in-law Harold Prohoda; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Edward Green; parents Shebel and Sophie Rehal; four sisters; one brother and a nephew.
