Kathleen Karmen Jurich

Kathleen Karmen Jurich, aged 63, passed away on December 3, 2022, at the Montana State Nursing Home in Lewistown.

Born in Great Falls on September 29, 1959, to Frank and Darlene Jurich, she was the third of six children and first girl in the family. Kathleen was a beautiful and complex person who had an amazing memory, was a good cook, meticulous housekeeper, and loved her birds and her vinyl records. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School, and Paris Gibson, Great Falls and Cascade High Schools.  She lived happily and independently for many years until illness left her unable to care for herself in 2017.

She passed away on her grandparents’ anniversary, and we believe they were both there along with her dad, Frank, to welcome her gently into heaven. Our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy for the many memories, music, family dinners, family trips, and everyday minutiae that we shared with Kathleen growing up in our big family. Say hello to everyone for us, Kathleen. You are at peace now and are forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed.

Kathleen is survived by her son, Jeremy Jurich; mother, Darlene Jurich; brothers, Dan (Ramona) Jurich, Don (Andi) Jurich, Jeanne (Rick) Strizich, Diane (Paul) Heikkila, and Julie (Bill) Baxter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Jurich; and grandparents, Ralph and Carmen Peklewsky and Frank and Emma Jurich.

A vigil service will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022. The funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
