Katherine Mittelstaedt

Katherine E. (Trainor) Mittelstaedt, 86, of Great Falls, a homemaker, died of natural causes on Monday, May 6, 2013 at a local nursing home.A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. A burial of ashes will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A potluck reception will be held at Schnider Funeral Home Hospitality Room. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Katherine was born on August 28, 1926 in Great Falls, Montana and was the daughter of Patrick and Mary Trainor. She married Elmer Stewart and he passed away in the mid 1950s. She then married Vern Miller in 1960 and they divorced after a few years. She then met Ted Mittelstaedt and they were later married. He died in 1993.She is survived by her son, William (Peggy) Stewart of Great Falls; daughter Carol Helper of Great Falls; brother Melvin (Louise) Trainor of Anaconda; granddaughter Keri; and great-grandchildren, Dominik and Adriana.Katherine was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer Stewart and Ted Mittelstaedt; daughter Sylvia Ann Stewart; sons Patrick and Dennis Stewart; brothers John and Jim Trainor; sisters May Price, Sadie Dagel, Annie Griffon and Molly Trainor; and parents Patrick and Mary Trainor.
