Karla Ruth Oeleis

Karla Oeleis, 80, of Great Falls passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday July 26, 2021.Karla was born October 20, 1940, in Raton, New Mexico.She worked for many years for Mountain Bell in Montana until her retirement. During her retirement years, she spent her time enjoying life on her “rock” at Holter Lake with her husband, Tom Oeleis. They enjoyed traveling, watching wildlife and spending time with their friends and family. Karla is survived by her daughters, Becky Kennedy and Leslee Kennedy of Great Falls, Kathryn Hopkins of Helena, and Paula Kennedy of Schaumburg, Illinois; Tom’s children, Pam Poncelet and John Oeleis of Great Falls, and Jim Oeleis of Denver, Colorado; and brother, Rodger Kretz of New Mexico. Karla wasblessed with 20 grandchildren and a plethora of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, David Kennedy; parents; sister; and brother. A celebration of life is scheduled for August 21, 2021 from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Mansfield Center located at 2 Park Drive S in Great Falls.
