Julius J. Waldner, 73, passed away on May 22, 2016 from natural causes.Services and burial will take place at Birch Creek Colony.Julius was born in Magrath, Alberta on December 17, 1942. When he was 6 years old, he moved to Birch Creek Colony where he lived for 65 years. In 1970, he married Katie Waldner. To this union, two children were born, Don and June. He was the chicken manager for 10 years and German teacher for 10 years. In later years, he helped his son doing carpentry work, which he enjoyed doing until he died.Julius grandchildren were the light of his life. He was their mentor in all aspects of their lives. Their best memories of him will be the Bible stories he always told them. He was a rock and guiding light to his children, especially since their mother died in earlier years.Julius is survived by his son, Don (Dora); daughter June (John); brothers, Isaac of Birch Creek Colony and William of Pondera Colony; sister Justina of Mossleigh, Alberta; grandchildren Cameron, Jessica, Julius, Travis, Albert, Roseanne, Kathryn, and Marilyn of Birch Creek Colony; his in-laws and many, many friends.He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie in 1999; brothers Chris of Birch Creek Colony and Jacob of Pondera Colony; and sister Anna of Birch Creek Colony.Julius was loved by everyone who knew him. His kind and helping hands will be missed by everyone.Dear Dad, may you rest in peace.
