Julie Marie Quist

Julie Quist was born February 2, 1935, and died May 12, 2022, of natural causes at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, MT. She graduated from Hudson Highschool. She went on to St. Olaf College to earn her music degree. While in college she met and married Curtiss Quist on April 20, 1957. Julie and Curtiss moved to Maiden Rock, WI. Julie commuted to Pepin, WI, where she taught music for eight years. They moved to Fairfield, MT in the summer of 1977. Julie taught vocals and band at Power High School in Power, MT. They moved to Great Falls, and Julie worked for St. Thomas Child and Family Center as an assistant teacher. Julie traveled all over the Midwest and western United States. She also enjoyed a trip to Europe. Julie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Curtiss; her children, Jennie, Sarah, and Andrew; as well as numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A service will be held for Julie at 2:00 p.m. on June 1, 2022, at First English Lutheran Church (726 2nd Ave N, Great Falls, MT, 59401).
