Juliana Eleanor (Kantola) Bogner, 75, of Framingham, Massachusetts, died of natural causes on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Bethany Center in Framingham.Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Schnider Funeral Home.A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Fort Benton. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 on March 9, 2013 at Bethany Chapel in Framingham, Massachusetts. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Juliana Eleanor (Kantola) Bogner was born to Margaret Eleanor and John Jacob Kantola on January 22, 1938.She grew up on the family farm east of Great Falls, Montana near Salem. She attended the Salem Rural School and completed 8th grade while boarding at the Ursuline Academy in Great Falls.From there she attended Great Falls Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1957.After graduating she boarded and worked in Great Falls until her marriage to Cornelius Bogner on June 22, 1963.She and Cornelius made their home on a family farm near Fort Benton.They had two sons, Anthony and Joseph Bogner.Cornelius died on January 8, 1973, and Julie and the boys moved back to Great Falls to be close to family.Later she lived in Deer Lodge near her son, Joseph and family and eventually moved to Massachusetts to be near Anthony and his family. She resided at The Golden Pond Assisted Living in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, where she enjoyed the company of many friends.She particularly loved participating in their full activity program; and, of course, visiting her son, Anthony and his family frequently.In 2011 her health declined and she moved to the Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham, Massachusetts, where she enjoyed the company of many retired sisters and was able to attend daily Mass, as well as participate in their activity program.She resided there until her death.Julie loved the farm life, was a great homemaker, baker and precise seamstress. Her favorite times were spent at extended family gatherings where she was always interested in everyones well being.She was a devout Catholic.Though physically challenged, she did not complain and was always considerate of others.Julie is survived by her sons, Anthony and his wife, Lisa of Milford, MA, and Joseph and his wife, Shannan of Kalispell; four grandchildren,Rawlin Bogner of Kalispell, Jacob, Molly and Neil Bogner of Milford, MA; sister Leone Person of Loveland, CO; as well as many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Kenneth.Her presence will be missed immensely.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Julies memory to the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, 409 13th Str.
