Julia Lange Volk passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2021, in Great Falls, MT with her husband and sons by her side. Julia Ann Lange was born in Devil’s Lake, ND on June 27, 1956, along with her twin sister, Jane. They lived with their parents, Paul and Lois, along with their two brothers, Karl and Rob, where they all attended Devil’s Lake Public Schools until their graduations. Julie met Ken Volk of Doyon, ND and on August 7, 1976, they married. They lived for a short while in Whapeton, ND and then moved to Great Falls, MT where they made their forever home. Ken and Julie had two sons born to them in Great Falls, Joshua and Jeffrey, which made their family complete. Julie loved her boys. She also had a soft spot for all her fur babies over the many years. Every card and letter she sent, she signed all four family member names and then all the names of the pets that were living with them at that time. Everyone loved getting those cards and letters. Julie was such a wonderful part pf her family. She was loved dearly by the Lange family as well as the Volk family. She held a very special place in the heart of Ken’s handicapped brother, Larry. He adored her. Julie was truly Ken’s soulmate. She was such a down-to-earth, free spirit in her leather vest, jeans, and hair wrap. They did everything together, especially, riding their Harley. They made many trips, and she was always right there behind him on the bike. Julie is survived by her loving husband, Ken; her two sons, Joshua and Jeffrey; her mother, Lois; and her brother, Rob along with his wife, Vonnie. Also surviving her are brothers-in-law, Ed and Millie Volk, Jack and Rita Volk, and Larry Volk; along with two precious grandchildren, Kaii and Annabelle. She loved her grandchildren with her whole heart and loved sharing stories and pictures of them. Several nieces and nephews also survive Julie, and they will miss her dearly. She was their ‘cool’ aunt. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Paul; brother, Karl; twin sister, Jane; as well as her in-laws, Ed and Mary Volk.
