Judy Bauder, a wonderful redheaded daughter, was welcomed into Erma (Christianson) Bauder and Richard Bauder’s lives on January 4, 1962, in their hometown of Great Falls, MT. Judy attended grade school in Great Falls, except for third grade, where she attended a country school in Monarch, MT. At 17 years old, she started her first job at Buttrey Foods Northside store #26 as a grocery bagger and stock handler. Judy graduated High School from Charles M. Russel in 1980. After high school, she decided to move to Salt Lake City in 1981, where her aunt, Verna, cousin, Libby, and cousin, Curtis were living at the time. She worked many jobs that tended to focus on her craftsmanship in the printing business. Judy had many adventures while growing up in Great Falls. One notable story involves rafting down the Sluice Boxes near Hughesville, MT where the raft did not make it. Her uncle, Al always seemed to find a new and unexpected way to get into tight spots, but somehow always found a way out. Judy was easy going and gave room for people to be themselves. She had struggles and understood that life can be hard, which allowed her to give others space when needed without judging them. Her warm smile frequently lifted family and friends’ spirit. In 2019, Judy became ill and began her fight with cancer. She moved back to Great Falls and spent her last months close to her mother and Aunt, Verna. Judy is preceded in death by her brother, Keith and her father, Richard. She is survived by her mother, Erma; aunt, Verna; aunt, Jean; uncle, Bill; and cousins, Curtis(wife Melisa, daughter Zoe), Jan, Roy, Ryan, Patrick, Pearl, and many more in Wyoming, Washington, South Dakota and Minnesota who will miss her dearly and remember her lovingly.
