Judith Ann Thody

Judy Thody, 73, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully, September 6, 2018 at Peace Hospice. There will be a Celebration of Life at 809 Coyote Ct, on September 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Judy was born in Scobey, MT on July 21, 1945 to George and Helen Bergstrom. She attended school in Scobey, Wolf Point, Great Falls and Missoula. Judith married the love of her life, John “Jack” Thody. She worked for Cascade County Hospital and then for Montgomery Wards. In 1985 Judy and Jack began managing apartments in Great Falls. In the fall of 1988, they moved to Nevada where they managed apartments until 1993. They then returned to Great Falls to manage apartments locally. Jack retired in 1988 and Judy went to work at Smokers Friendly for seven years. Judy returned to managing apartments until she retired in 2010. Judy enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, playing bingo with her friends and playing games with her family. She also enjoyed camping with her family and traveling. Judith is survived by her son, Wayne “John” (Sara) Thody of Great Falls; MT; step-daughters Dorothy (Roy) Baldwin, Joyce Trinder, Annette (Mike) McCellan and Penny Dyson; grandchild Bradi Thody; brothers Buddy Bergstrom of Laurel, MD and Nick Bergstrom of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Mary (Kurt) Fagenstrom of Great Falls, MT and Rita Lieby of Great Falls, MT. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Jack Thody and her parents.
