Josephine “Jo” Pauline (Sisko) Williams

Josephine “Jo” Pauline (Sisko) Williams was born June 1, 1940, in Great Falls, Montana. She was the oldest of three children born to Joseph George Sisko, Sr. and Helen Josephine (O’Connell) Sisko. She was raised on the westside where she attended Franklin Elementary and West Junior High School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1958. Following graduation, she worked for Mountain Bell Telephone for three years as a long distance and information operator until the first of her seven children was born in 1962. Josephine married Terry Merritt Williams on January 21, 1961, in Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Great Falls, Montana. To this union seven children were born. They later divorced in December 1996. When her youngest child started school, Jo went to work for the Great Falls Public School System in 1987 working at West Elementary as a teacher’s aide and retiring in May of 2013. She continued to work for the district as a substitute aide. She also worked for Avon as a sales representative and for Samplers Plus as a demonstrator and as a lap counter, tally clerk, and pit gate clerk for the Electric City Speedway. Josephine was actively involved in Camp Fire with her girls and motocross with her boys as a member of Electric City Dirt Riders Motocross Club. She was also involved with the Great Falls Genealogy Society, the Cursillo Movement for fifteen years, and Saint Luke’s Catholic Church where she taught religious education for fourteen years, seven years with second graders and seven years with teenagers. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, genealogy, and 50s music. Josephine is survived by her sons, David Williams of Farmington Utah, Bret (Marnee) Williams, Scott Williams, and Sean Williams (Shanley Paul and her children Lila and John Paul); daughters, Teri Jo (Leland) Williams Blomberg, Karla (Nick) Williams Patch, and Lisa Williams; grandchildren, Nicole Patch, Dane Patch, Devan Patch, Brittni (Hunter Schmidt) Blomberg, Amber Flesch, Kayla (Cody) Lee, Wyatt Flesch, Morgan Williams, Brayden Williams, Shayla Williams, Taylor Williams, Aubrey Williams, and Corbin Williams; great-grandchildren, Jackson Flesch, Aria Delaney, Roczen Lee, Weston Lee, and Josie Lee; sisters-in-law, Donna Sisko, Linda Sisko, Stella Mae Austin, Debbie Williams, and Cheryl Hirose; brother-in-law, Dan Williams; uncle, Pat (Patsy) O’Connell; former husband, Terry (Linda Weninger) Williams; former daughters-in-law, Kim Hungerford and Alexis Meyers; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and life-long friends, Sharlene Dugas and Betty Bishop. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, George William Sisko (2018) and Joseph George Sisko, Jr. (2020).
