Jon E. Lee, 64, of Great Falls passed away at his home with his family by his side on Monday, August 10, 2015.Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery with full military honors. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Jon was born April 25, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to J. W. Lee and Clara (Duke) Maytum. His family lived in various places and came to Great Falls were Jon received his education. He joined the Army with his best friend, Jim Wellington, serving basic training at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Jon was stationed in the states before going to Germany then to Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. After his tour of duty he returned to Great Falls.Jon installed cable TV for over 20 years in Great Falls. He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing and anything to do outdoors. The mountains were his church.Jon is survived by his wife, Susan Lee of Great Falls, MT; daughter Laura (Mike) VanNorman of Helena, MT; son Cody (Kayla) Lee of Great Falls, MT; Lauras mom Linda Raff Lee of Helena, MT; stepdad Ben Maytum of Winnett, MT; brothers Jan (Sherry) Lee, Robert Lee both of Libby, MT, Tim (Linda) Maytum of Billings, MT; several half brothers and sisters; two grandchildren, Terrin Martin and baby Roczen Lee; best friends Jim Wellington; and his numerous other friends.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, J. W. Lee and Clara Maytum.
