Jon A. Wanago

Jon Andrew Wanago, 51, beloved son, brother and uncle from Henderson, Nevada passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 17, 2017.Jon was a star middle linebacker at Great Falls High School. As a senior, he led the Bison to the Class AA State Championship. He continued his playing career at Montana State University and was named First Team All Big Sky Conference and received an honorable mention All-American his senior year. He graduated from MSU in 1989.Jon is survived by his mother, Joyce Wanago of Great Falls; brother Joe Wanago of Great Falls; nieces Jordan and Courtney of Great Falls; brother Josh (Nicole) Wanago of Bozeman; and nephews Nic and Perry Wanago of Bozeman.He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Wanago.Jons celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Do Bar, 1800 3rd St. NW.
