John Kahler

John W. Kahler, 80, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 of natural causes.It was Johns wish not to have a service. A private family memorial will be held at the cemetery at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.John was born on June 26, 1937, in Lewistown, MT to Henry and Alice (Lane) Kahler. He was raised in Straw and Pendroy and he graduated from Choteau High School. He worked for many years for GTA Feeds in Great Falls. In 1975, he bought his first truck delivering feed, fertilizer, and finally cement from Montana City to United Materials until 2004 when he retired.He was married to Shirley Lusty for over 25 plus years until her death in 1985. They had two daughters, Debra and Cindy. In 1989, John married MaryAnne Bentz and celebrated 27 happy years together.John is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Kahler; parents Henry and Alice Kahler; son-in-law Larry Hajenga; and stepdaughter Rhonda Rangel.He is survived by his wife, MaryAnne; daughters Debra Hajenga and Cindy (Michael) Woods; stepson Scott (Inge) Bentz; stepson-in-law Ben Rangel; 7 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and 6 step-great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Johns memory to a charity of your choice.
