John (J.P) Paul Freie

John “J.p.” Paul Freie, 50, of Anchorage, Alaska passed unexpectedly on April 26, 2021, in Great Falls, Montana after an acute abdominal bleeding caused from a perforated ulcer. We are devastated by this loss. J.p. was born on August 29, 1970, in El Segundo, CA to loving parents John “Jack” Henry Freie and Catherine “Cathy” Freie. He immediately filled the lives of those around him with joy. J.p graduated from West Anchorage High School in 1988 and from the Phoenix Institute of Technology in 1989. He attended KPC before starting his commercial trucking business. J.p. was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was passionate about cars and dirt track racing, and often stayed involved with his extended family's racing adventures. His presence is sorely missed, and his loss will forever be deeply felt. J.p. was preceded in death by his Father, John “Jack” Henry Freie; mother, Catherine “Cathy” Freie; aunts, Eunice (John) Arrigoni, Jo Maberry, Bessie Paulson, and Peggy Giles; cousins, Connie Shultz, Ron Holland, Kelley Stone, and Erin Paulson; and niece, Rebeka Campbell. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Freie, Renate (Ron) Campbell (Zelenka) and their children, Reid, Rachel, Rory, and Ryker; aunt, Cherry Holland; uncles, Gerald Maberry, Jack Giles, Dick Holland, and Stone Paulson; cousins, Steve Arrigoni, Stanley Holland, Vicky Holland, John Holland, Stacy Farley, Jona Rushing, Marlo Giles, and Cindy Nault; extended family, Jack and April Zelenka; brother, Shawn (Gale) Zelenka and their children, Heather and Ty; brother, Brian (Sandy) Zelenka and their children Bailey and Levi. J.p. will be laid to rest with his family at Highland Cemetery in Great Falls, MT. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 11th at 1PM.
