John J. Kennedy, 82, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Benefis Hospital.Visitation will be Wednesday, April 22, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. The funeral liturgy will be Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.John was born on June 27, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a partner in Riverview Construction Supply Company and Comptroller for Kessner Construction during the housing development in Riverview. He was the owner/operator of Electric City Conservatory floral and greenhouse for 40 years, which he sold upon retirement in 2003.He was active in the community and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was a US Bank board director, past director of the Montana Florists Association and Political Education Council of Montana. He was a member of the Elks, VFW, and GF Chamber of Commerce.John is survived by his wife, Lorna; daughters Kathleen (Ray) Scott and Janet (Charlie) Clement both of Fairfield; two stepchildren Heidi Romain of Great Falls and Matt Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Lorrain Bower of Alliance, NE; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie; son Patrick; brothers Mike Kennedy and David Halvorson; and 2 great grandchildren Neveah Scott and McKynna Scott.
