John Brinson

John W. Brinson, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 20, 2014 at Peace Hospice.A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.John was born March 21, 1920 in Guyton, Georgia to Edna May and Rubin Brinson. He was the last remaining of eleven children, seven boys and four girls. He attended school in Savannah, Georgia. After school he joined the Navy. He married Helen Webb, they had three children together and later divorced. When he was discharged from the Navy he met Angela Makynen through a mutual friend, dated, got married, and were married for 55 years.He was a hardworking and loving man. He worked hard all his life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus; loved all of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; his buddy Bear; and most of all his honey Angie.Dad really enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. He will be greatly missed. He was loved. May he rest peacefully in Gods loving arms.John is survived by his wife, Angela; sons Gerald (Lucille) Brinson and Rick Brinson both of Great Falls; stepchildren Gina Todd of Great Falls and Whil (Gwen) Harlin Makynen of San Juan Capistrano, CA; grandchildren Brenda, Teresa, Missy, Page, Mindy, Darcy, and Jordyn; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.He was preceded in death by his daughter Lenora Richardson and stepdaughter Victoria Makynen Hoffarth.
