Joann "Jo" Vogl

Joann Jo Vogl, 68, of Great Falls, passed away at the Great Falls Hospice house on December 5, 2015.Jo was born in Butte, Montana on December 21, 1946 to Leo Vogl and Helen (Martin) Vogl. They moved to Lewistown where she grew up and attended St Leos Catholic School. She was the fourth child of seven. She married Ken Zirschky in 1964 in Lewistown, where they had a son Larry and daughter Brenda. They moved to Great Falls in 1968 and had one more son, Eric. They divorced at a later date and she married Pat Kolwyck and got to be step-mom to two wonderful kids, Shane Kolwyck and Glena Lettengarver both of Fairfield. They divorced at a later date.She moved to Arizona twice and realized her heart was in Montana. Her mother moved back to Great Falls from Arizona in 2001 to live with her, they lived together until just recently when Jos health deteriorated. They enjoyed watching NBA basketball games, Western movies and each others company.She worked as an accountant for many places including, JCCS, Contract Flooring, Jan-Bar, Chinook Windows and many others. She was a bartender on and off throughout the years.Jo is survived by her mother, Helen Fallini of Helena; daughter Brenda (David Grossman) Jeffrey; grandsons Joe and Rennick and granddaughter Elyssa, all of Great Falls; siblings Kay Duncan, Betty (Don) Walker, TJ (Rhonda) Vogl all of Helena, Barbara Vogl of Arizona, Patricia (Gary) Gross of Oregon, Ed (Lynn) Vogl of Lewistown; and many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and many, many great friends.She was preceded in death by her father, Leo; sons Larry and Eric; and her stepdad, Papa Joe.There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.
