Jo Maberry, 75 of Belt, a cook at the Belt Creek Caf, passed away at Peace Hospice Residence on Wed, Feb 20, 2013 of Cancer.A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11 am at Montclair Methodist Church in Belt.Cremation has taken place.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Jo Maberry was born September 28, 1937 in Malta, Montana to Alvin and Ethel (Barker) Freie. The family moved to Belt when she was young.Jo graduated from Belt Valley High School.She worked at the Belt Drug Store and later as a clerk for the State Liquor Store in Belt.For decades Jo worked as a cook in Belt.She was active with the Rebekahs, the VFW Auxiliary and Montclair Methodist Church.She enjoyed watching TV especially KRTV, cooking for her family and friends, going for walks and Sunday drives.For many years Gerald and Jo traveled to Jackpot, Neveda, sometimes twice a year.Jo is survived by her husband, Gerald Maberry of Belt; a daughter Cindy Nault and her husband, Ted of Great Falls; two sisters, Cherry Holland of Great Falls, and Peggy Giles of Highwood; a brother John Jack Freie of Anchorage, Alaska; two grandchildren, Zack Nault, and Natasha LaCasse both of Missoula; and three great grandchildren, Taytem, Addyson, and Brynn.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Stanley Freie; and two sisters, Eunice Arrigoni, and Bessie Paulson.
