Jerry Grady died of natural causes Monday February 27 at Peace Hospice.A prayer vigil will be held at 5pm Sunday, March 4 at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel.Funeral liturgy will be at St. Anns Cathedral, Monday, March 5 at 11am. Schnider Funeral HomeGrady was born in Conrad Montana November 16, 1925 to Leo C. Grady and Katherine A. (Foley) Grady. Conrad was his home until 1942 when his family moved to Great Falls.He graduated from Great Falls High in 1944.During high school he began delivering papers for the Great Falls Tribune and after graduation transferred to their mailing department where he continued to work until he retired in 1983.After retirement, Grady as he was known, became a committed volunteer. He was the Volunteer Manager for the Great Falls Food Bank and also volunteered with the Great Falls Hockey Team.However, he was known best for his love of baseball. He helped with Little League, the Electrics and the local professional teams (Dodgers, White Sox and Voyagers).In the remodeled stadium there is a brick bearing his name. In 2006 he received the Presidents Volunteer Service Award.He is survived by his sisters, Mary (Gerald) Stokes of Choteau, Sally McGregor of Great Falls and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert, and sisters Margaret Maronick and Katherine Schraeder.
