Jeri Bartels

Jeri Marie Bartels, 61, of Great Falls, a human resources administrative assistant, died of natural causes on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at a local hospice facility.Private services will be held.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Jeri was born on May 20, 1952 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota to Daniel and Patricia Boone.She graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1970 and also attended college for a while. Jeri married her high school sweet-heart Charles Chuck W. Bartels on December 18, 1971 in Belle Fourche.Over the years, Jeri worked as an administrative assistant for Centene Corp., Citi Mortgage, and D.A. Davidson all of Great Falls.She was a member of United Way of Cascade County and the secretary of her bowling league.Jeri enjoyed bowling, golf, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.Jeri is survived by her husband, Charles W. Bartels; mother Patricia Boone; son Alvin B. Bartels; daughter Jeannette M. (Erik J.) Kalafat all of Great Falls; sisters JoAnn Boone of San Diego, CA, Roberta Scott of Payson, AZ and Edna Hagerman of Scottsdale, AZ; brothers Greg Boone of Lander, WY, Roy Boone of Spearfish, SD, and Ross Boone of Helena, MT; brother-in-law Orville Bartels of Piedmont, SD and Richard Bartels of Onida, SD; sisters-in-law Tana Nagel of Phoenix, AZ, Gladys Cornish of Cypress, CA and Cherris Cobain of Huntington Beach, CA; grandson Samuel R. Kalafat; and close friends, Mike and Barb Bubba Baumgartner and Sharon Yaeger.She was preceded in death by her father Daniel M.
