On June 15, 2016, Jeffrey Robert Wend passed away in Seattle, WA. 33 years young, he will be greatly missed by all who were part of his life. He is survived by his mother, Tammy, father, Chris, brother, Alex, and sister, Erica, along with both maternal, Jane and Lloyd DeBruycker, and paternal, David and Alice Wend, grandparents as well as 14 aunts and uncles, 25 cousins and 7 second cousins. Jeff was born on March 24, 1983, in Gillette, WY. Being born into a very large family, and the very first of 26 grandchildren, Jeff had many aunts, uncles and grandparents very excited to love and adore everything about him.Jeff spent his early childhood in the farming area of Bynum, MT, where his adoring family fans eagerly watched him grow. Jeff was so uniquethere was truly no one like him. From the time he could walk and talk, he was a busy little man who was the leader of shenanigans. He had so many followers whom he led in hours of imaginative ideas and fun entertainment! It was never a dull moment in his presence.He attended elementary and middle schools in Bozeman, MT, and Richland, WA. He attended high school in Bozeman, Portland, Richland, and graduated with honors from Choteau High School in 2002. Upon graduation from high school, Jeff attended the University of Washington where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2007.After graduating from the University of Washington, he remained in Seattle and took a job with BioRad manufacturing immunoassays. Upon leaving BioRad, he worked in the tree service and the elder care resource industries.Truly, Jeff was an amazing young man of many talents and passions. He spent many hours creating new inventions and modifying existing devices from bicycles to clothinghis brain was never at restand always thinking innovatively!He grew up loving the outdoors! Being an avid skier, he was on the Bridger Bowl Freestyle Team when he lived in Bozeman and on the Tualatin Ski Team in Portland. Jeff could bake a great backflip! His other interests included off-road motorcycles, cars, bike rides, hikes, rock climbs, general fitness, and ice cream.Jeffs kind heart, quick wit, and the ability to know how to make everyone laugh will always be remembered. He was such an important piece to our puzzle, and we hope you will join us in celebrating the life of this wonderful young man.Services will be held at St. William Catholic Church in Dutton, MT, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Dutton Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. William Catholic Church or in the form desired by friends.
