Jeff Peters, 63, of Belt, Montana, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on November 27, 2019, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Jeff was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania on March 27, 1956. He attended Penn State University, and spent 25 years working as a golf course superintendent. He and his wife, Janet relocated to Montana in 2001. He eventually went into business for himself and enjoyed helping people with their lawn care and landscaping needs until his retirement in 2018. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening, camping, and hunting, but his true passion was fishing. He was an accomplished fly fisherman, filling his time during the long winter months tying flies and watching football. He is survived by Janet, his wife of 43 years; son Gabe and daughter-in-law, Teresa, and their three children, Angeni, Alex, and Ava, all of Pennsylvania; his son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law, Shiloh, and their two children, Nola and Vonn, all of Frenchtown, Montana; his sister, LuAnn (John) Levitre and their children, Joshua, Patrick, Daniel, Maggie, and their families. Jeff was also blessed with numerous close friends who will miss him dearly. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Jane and Frederick Peters; his aunt, Joan Bast; and his uncle, Richard Staber. Cremation has taken place and a memorial picnic at the family creek side campsite in Pennsylvania will take place at a later date.
