Jeffrey Thomas Carlile

Jeffrey T. Carlile, 23 March 1950 — 16 September 2018 Jeff Carlile’s strength of character was evident to all who knew him; he lived his values of generosity, love, faith, industriousness, and fortitude every day. Born and raised in the Great Falls area, he was passionate about his community and his family’s Montana history. Jeff was a brilliant mechanic, an expert in heavy machinery and equipment, and he could name the make, model, and year of any vehicle. He loved his equipment and his work. He most enjoyed time spent fishing at the ranch, socializing with friends, making people smile with his mischievous sense of humor, and working in his shop. Above all, Jeff valued time with “his girls” (Linda, Lindsay, and Jessica); he never missed a celebration, a basketball game, or an opportunity to lend a hand. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, James and Marie Carlile, and his brothers Jimmy and Jerome Carlile. Jeff is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda, and their two daughters, Lindsay and Jessica who will miss him every day. Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at St. Ann’s Cathedral. The vigil service will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 also at St. Ann’s. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Ann’s Cathedral. Memorials in Jeff’s name may be given to the Great Falls Central Catholic Church (his alma mater) or the Great Falls Animal Shelter.
