Jean Throm

Jean was born on March 22, 1924 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Quintin and Mary (Hunter) Cornelison. In 1927, Quintin, Mary, Jean, and sister Edith rejoined his extended family in Flathead, MT. They resided there for a decade before moving to Spokane, WA where Jean completed high school and obtained her degree as an LPN. Jeans first child, Mickey Miller was born in Spokane in 1943. Jean moved back to Kalispell, MT where she worked as a nurse until her move to Great Falls, MT in 1951 when she married Wm. F Throm and raised their children Joy, Shannon and Scott Throm. In 1967 the Throms moved to Izmir, Turkey and later lived in Denver and Greely, CO, Helena, MT, Thousand and Palms, CA. before returning to Great Falls in the 1980s.Jean was blessed with a loving family and many lifelong friends. She was long time member of First Presbyterian Church, active in PTA, an avid bridge player and an excellent seamstress (in the mid 1960s she made all the altar cloths for her church and they are still being used today.) Jean loved her life as a homemaker where she perfected her skill as a cook, excellent bread maker and gardener. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity, spirit and wit.Jean was preceded in death by her parents; son Marshall Mickey Miller; sister Edith Kates; and her beloved husband, Bill Throm.She is survived by her dear companion, Keith Hunter; children Joy Throm of Minneapolis, MN; Scott (Shannon) Throm of Boise, ID; and Shannon Hahn (Brad) of Helena, MT. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Larry (Gwendolyn) Tweed, Dillon (fiance Heidi) Throm of Portland, OR, Daintry, Mary Jean, and Clare Throm of Boise, ID, Jarek Hahn of Helena, and Jace Hahn of Missoula. She will also be missed by Keiths children: Bill Hunter; Betty Burkland; Steve Hunter; Dave Hunter and Sally Hunter who were an important part of her life for many years
