It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved Jayne “Janey” Evelyn Dailey passed away on March 21, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born on January 29, 1944, in Cascade County to Ed and Evelyn (Dailey) Kostuck. Janey attended Paris Gibson and Saint Mary’s Catholic school. After finishing school, Janey worked for over 50 years in the restaurant industry in Montana and California. She was proud to own and operate Janey Lucy’s in Great Falls and The Cow Palace in White Sulphur Springs. In her spare time, she loved to garden, cook, and was a skilled seamstress. Janey was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and animal lover. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by daughter, Michelle (Wayne) Davis of Missoula; sons, Michael (Joannie) Ortiz of Palm Desert, CA and Josh (Martie) Ortiz of Great Falls; nine grandchildren, Katie (Jesse) Lyman, Zach (Meredith) Ortiz, Nik (Mike) Ortiz Adams, Mallory (Ben) Fuqua, Hannah McCain, Brenna Davis, Skyler Ortiz, Brooke (Christian) Ortiz, Michael Ortiz, Trinity Lewis and Caiden Sekuterski; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins. Along with her parents, Janey was preceded in death by her younger brother, Larry Kostuck. The family is having a celebration of life at The Flamingo Lounge on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Pet Paw-See or the Human Society of Cascade County can be made in Janey’s honor.
