Janice Skaggs

Janice Leah Stroop Skaggs, 56, died on June 9, 2013 at home following a lengthy illness.No services will be held at this time. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangementsJanice Leah Stroop Skaggs was born June 14, 1956 to Alvina J. Stroop and Jack L. Stroop, the first born of two girls.Janices first job was working for the Huffs at the Winners Circle Restaurant. She also worked as a poker dealer and a cook. On her travels of her life, she also was a change girl and a pit boss in Reno and Las Vegas. She moved to Las Vegas, in 1981 to Reno, then to Great Falls in 1987.Janice was married to her high school sweetheart, Bruce Skaggs. They married in 2007.She is survived by her husband; mother Alvina Stroop, Auntie Leah Dolena (her other mother) ; her sister, Jackie Henry; and her niece, who was like her own daughter, Emily Stroop. She is also survived by Bruces family.She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
