Our beloved mother and grandmother, Janice Ann Renville, went to be with the Lord, on July 20, 2017 at the age of eighty.Janice was born in Stanton, North Dakota on June 19, 1937. She moved with her then husband, Lowell Sorenson to Great Falls where she raised her family of seven children. Janice is survived by five of her children, Jerry Sorenson of Scottsdale, AZ, Monte and Myron Sorenson of Great Falls, Scott Sorenson of Kalispell, and Maria Renville of Great Falls. Janice has gone to be with her sweet Jamie and beloved son Gary Sorenson, husbands Swede Sorenson and Robert Bob Renville, as well as her mother Ann Hamann, her father Albert Peterson, and her brothers Marlin and Terry Schuh.Janice loved life, good friends, and good music - especially Elvis. Anyone who knew her would agree she was younger than her years, and was always one you would notice in a crowd. However the light of her life were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved to cook for especially on holidays. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Janice enjoyed playing bingo with friends, making her Kahlua and chokecherry jam, visiting family in North Dakota, and the hot Arizona sun when visiting her son, Jerry. She cherished a close relationship with her daughter, Maria and her grandson, Daris Watkins, who was sure to get away with anything with Maga around.A celebration of Janices life will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel in Great Falls on Monday, July 31 at 3:00 p.m. A potluck will follow the service at the VFW Post 1087, 4123 10th Ave. S.When you smell a lilac or see the color purple think of Janice and dont forget the turquoise ring.
