Janet Bibus

Janet D. Bibus went to the our Lord on April 16, 2012 at age 86, on Monday, April 16, 2012 at a Great Falls nursing home of natural causes.A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Janet was born on September 25, 1925 in Big Sandy to Sam and Francis Davis.At a young age, she ventured to Seattle, WA where she worked as a bookkeeper for the Pacific National Bank. She met her husband, William Bibus in Seattle and they were married on October 6, 1934 later divorcing after 21 years of marriage. They had two children, Bob and Beverly. After her divorce, she moved to Missoula, MT where she worked at the Mercantile China Dept (Macys now). Then she worked at the Forest Service and finally the University of Montana as secretary to the Dean of Students. At her fathers request Janet moved to Havre in December 1972, where she was employed at Triangle Telephone and Hill County Electric working in the billing and payroll departments.She retired May of 1988 and moved to Stevensville before moving to Great Falls. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, especially going to jazz festivals, where you could see her light up the floor. She loved to dance and I know she is two-stepping her way through the pearly gates and finally seeing her son Bob, who has been waiting many years to hold his Mom again. The untold story was, when Bob died he would appear in the coldest of climates as a pesky fly which my Mom disliked flies but learned to talk to Bob when that fly would appear out of nowhere especially, near Christmas holidays. So to see a fly was my Moms communication that Bob was near and he would be at her side watching over her. My mother is finally happy because I am sure Bob had his hand stretched out leading her the way to heaven. I will truly miss you Mom. Rest in peace until we meet again!Janet is survived by her daughter Beverly Foran and son-in-law Mike of Great Falls, three grandchildren; Mike and Janelle Foran and their four children of Bozeman, Steve and Christine Foran and their two children of Oak Harbor, WA and Janene and Darrell Gibbons and their three children of Great Falls.She was preceded in death by her son Bob on January 1, 1993, her parents; sisters, Lois Peterson and Gladys Dusek and former husband Bill.Thanks goes out to the Missouri River Manor staff for being not only her caregivers, but also her friends through all these trying years with her illness.Memorials are suggested to donors choice.Condolences made be left at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
