James L. Nickle, 92, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021. He was born in Los Angeles, California on December 9, 1928. Jim played football for BYU and then the University of Utah before entering the Navy in 1948. He was honorably discharged in 1952 at Treasure Island near San Francisco, California. Jim was a salesman coming to Great Falls in 1965 where he met Georgia Luru. They were later married and made Great Falls their home. He retired from ANR Freight Systems in 1990. He was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church and was an avid skier and golfer. He is survived by his wife, Georgia; daughter, Andrea (Scott) Smith of Salt Lake City; son, Chris (Antonya) Nickle of Phoenix; and six grandchildren, Michael, Peter and Andrew Giamalakis, Caitlyn, Regan and Daphne Nickle He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. In consideration of everyone’s safety a private service will be held at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
