James "Jim" Andrew Page

James “Jim” Andrew Page, 59, of Belt, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017. Funeral liturgy will be Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church with a burial of ashes to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery both in Belt. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Jim was born on June 10, 1958 in Great Falls to Dudley and Judith (Bosanko) Page. He graduated from CMR High School in 1977. He attended college at Montana State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1984. Throughout his career he worked on many architectural projects throughout Montana. He was a past president of Great Falls Society of Architects; member of the Network of Entrepreneurs, Kusinta Rotary Club in Lusaka, Zambia, and Lions Club; board member of Betsileo Development; and past board member of Leadership Great Falls. Jim liked fixing cars, remodeling older homes, skiing, traveling, cooking exotic food, making bread, gardening, and carpentry. He did a little bit of everything like plumbing, wiring, and masonry. He loved his pets. He also liked reading any fiction that was written by Japanese author, Haruki Murakami. His favorite singers, to name a few were, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, John Denver, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, ACDC, the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, and Kris Kristofferson. He enjoyed watching movies, and his favorite was “Cool Hand Luke” with Paul Newman, quoting from the movie, “What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate.” He is survived by his wife, Raymonde H. Page of Belt who immigrated from Madagascar; mother Judith Page; brother Tom Page; sister Sarah Page and her husband, Jeff Campbell; uncle Bob Page; nephews Tom and David; niece Katie; and many cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Dudley H. Page; maternal grandparents, Kenneth Miller Smith and Ruth Bambrough; and paternal grandparents, Dudley W. Page and Anne Hathaway.
