James Caldwell

James Herman Caldwell, 74, of Fort Shaw, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 due to medical complications.Family services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.James was born August 5, 1942 in Helena, Montana to Paul and Mabel (Reissing) Caldwell. He completed high school and joined the US Navy. He moved to Fort Shaw and joined his father in operating Caldwells Phillips 66 Service Station after his service in the Navy. He met Dawn Leslie McKay and they were married in 1969.He was an avid drag racer, friend to many, and a mechanic to even more.James is survived by his two sons, Jason and Justin Caldwell and brothers Cliff and Paul Caldwell.He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mabel.
