James W. Bill Johnson, 76, of Great Falls, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015.A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.James Bill was born on May 8, 1939 in Great Falls, Montana.We all thought he would die at home yelling at a bad call from some referee. He could watch many games at one time down in his man cave, and he could somehow manage to keep track of them all too! He enjoyed football, baseball, golf, among other sports.He served in the US Navy for 4 years. Bill worked at the Anaconda Company Smelter then the Montana Air National Guard, from which he retired.He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn P. Johnson; mother Edith A. (Hammer) Kaldor; and sister Lynnette (Johnson) Voorhees.Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn; daughter Debra (Ed) Leeflang; son Greg (Dianne) Johnson; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.He will be missed more than words can say.
