Jack E. Petrini, 83, of Great Falls, passed away at the Grandview on Friday, June 30, 2017.Jack was born on December 17, 1933 in Great Falls to Rinaldo and Mary (Finn) Petrini. He received his education in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School. He joined the Navy in 1951 and was on the USS General W.A. Mann. He was honorably discharged in 1957, when he returned to Black Eagle he worked as a meat cutter. He worked for Buttreys for many years as the manager of the meat department. He then worked as the maintenance supervisor for the Downtowner until his retirement. He also helped his son, Doug with Petrinis Furniture and Upholstery for many years.He married Murelenne Locken in Isabel, South Dakota on July 13, 1958. They raised three children throughout their years together.Jack was a representative for the Amalgamated Meat and Butcher Workmen Union. He was raised in the Catholic Church. When Mike and Randy were young he coached their baseball teams. He was also a member of the Electric City Dirt Riders and took great pleasure in watching his sons race during that time.He is survived by his sons, Doug (Dorrie) Petrini and daughter Kelsey of Great Falls, Michael Petrini and children Anna, Nicholas, Abigail, and Alex of Burleson, TX, and Randy (Lisa) Petrini and son Travis of Waco, TX; and sister Mary Ann of Boise, ID.Jack was preceded in death by his wife Murelenne Mitch; daughter Mary Elaine; brothers Bob, George, and Harold; and sister Shirley Gray.Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held July 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
