Jack J. Fisher Sr., 85, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Great Falls.He was born on July 15, 1929 to Harry and Faye Fisher Des Moines, Iowa. Jack graduated from high school in 1948. He then enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in Rapid City, South Dakota, where he met the love of his life Jean C. Dickinson. They were married in 1950, together they spent the Korean War in St. Johns, Newfoundland. He was in the "public"ations office. He was discharged in 1954 and joined the Air Force Reserves. In 1956, he moved his family to Spokane, Washington and began his career for Montgomery Wards. While there, a son, Jack was born. The family soon moved to Couer dAlene, Idaho where two more sons were born, Bruce and Randy. In 1964, he was transferred to Salem, Oregon, to be the Advertising and Promotion Manager, after that he was sent to the new Great Falls Montgomery Wards store in 1966. From then to now, Great Falls has been his home. His advertising career went from Montgomery Wards, to Holiday Village, to Buttreys, and finally General Sales Manager of KFBB TV. He retired in 1992 to a home he and Jean built on Holter Lake.During his retirement, Jack and Jean would travel to Bullhead, Arizona and enjoy the winter with friends. Later, moving back to Great Falls, Jack enjoyed his morning coffee at McDonalds on the west side, with Jean and friends. He loved Sunday drives, boating, camping, waterskiing, and fishing with his family on the lake.Jack was active in many organizations: the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce, Great Falls Advertising Federation, Great Falls Little League, and Easter Seals. For 22 years he volunteered for the United States Coast Guard Auxillary. He held many offices: Flotilla Commander, Division Captain, and District "public" Affairs Officer. He and Jean were both members and traveled together.He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean; daughter Karan; son-in-law Craig Bartlett; grandsons Scott and Eric; five granddaughters; two great grandsons; son Randy Fisher; daughter-in-law Patti; and grandsons Andrew and Corey.Jack was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and two sons Bruce Fisher and Jack Fisher Jr.Jack never met someone who was not a friend, so what will the world be without him.a lot less!Memorials are suggested to the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art, 1400 1st Ave N, Great Falls, MT 59401 or the Great Falls Animal Foundation, 300 Central Ave, Great Falls, MT 59401.A memorial service will be held crypt side at Hillcrest Lawn Mausoleum on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., 1410 13th St S.
