Ivy Oswald

Ivy Blair (LeDeau) Oswald, 52, of Great Falls, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 from cardiac arrest at Benefis Healthcare. A traditional wake will be held at her residence, 1321 16th St S, on Monday June 17, 2013, with funeral services held also at her residence at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Ivy was born March 19, 1961 in Great Falls and was a member of the Chippewa-Cree Tribe. She attended school in Great Falls and Twin Bridges. She had many talents and jobs including cosmetology, waitress and restaurant owner of Ivy's Breakfast Cafe at The Lobby.Ivy enjoyed camping, powwows, watching birds of prey and spending time with family and friends.Ivy is survived by her husband, Lester Oswald of Great Falls; daughter Kim Walker and husband Dale of Wahpeton, ND; sons Slade Chippewa and wife Debbie of Shelby, Vance LeDeau of Pablo, MT, Logan Oswald and Lucas Oswald, both of Great Falls, MT; sisters Leona Boyer, Sarah Schmasow and husband Steve, all of Great Falls, Kathy Hardyand husband Brianof Black Eagle, MT, Dawn LeDeau and Geri LeDeau, both of Helena; brother Albert LeDeau and wife Shannaof Spokane; grandchildren Mason and Jazz Walker, Slade Chippewa Jr., Carlee, Miah, Ivy and Ava LeDeau; her mother, Evelyn Gladeau, her stepmother, Darlene LeDeau; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.She will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by her father Albert LeDeau Sr; and brothers, Paul LeDeau and Kip LeDeau.
