Ilene Ingebrigtson

March 26, 1938 — April 7, 2014

Ilene (Berkram) Ingebrigtson went to her Heavenly Father on April 7, 2014 due to complications from Myotonic Muscular Distrophy.Her memorial service will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., a luncheon will follow. At her request, cremation has taken place and the spreading of her ashes will be done by her family at a future date. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Ilene was born March 26, 1938 to Torolv Berkram and Rose Weiss Berkram. She was the oldest of six children. She was raised at the family homestead north of Cut Bank, MT. In early years, she attended a one-room schoolhouse near her home. She eventually attended the Cut Bank schools, graduating from Cut Bank High School in 1955.While in high school, she met Karl Ingebrigtson from Valier, MT. They were married on December 30, 1956. At the time of her death, they had been married for more than 57 years. They had three children, Lauri Ingebrigtson from Great Falls; Brent (Kari) Ingebrigtson from Crestwood, KY; and Vicki Ingebrigtson Forsman from Great Falls.Ilene enjoyed traveling, sitting at the lake, playing cards, shopping, and her weekly coffee session with her friends. She owned and raced horses with her brother, Melvin, for several years. She volunteered at the Red Cross and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.Ilene is survived by her husband, children and one brother, Fred. She also has seven grandchildren, Dallas (Teresa) Lopez, Blake Ingebrigtson, Chandra (Brian) Vislay, Stephanie (Walter) Ingebrigtson Jett, Chad Ingebrigtson, Krystal Steiner, and Cody Forsman; as well as four great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Alan, Dennis, Melvin, and Gary.In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, PO Box 78960,Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960.
