Ilene Haferman

Ilene J. Bunnie (Ulmer) Haferman, 75, of Great Falls, a retired office manager and bookkeeper, died on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Peace Hospice of cancer.Her funeral service will be at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Ilene was born in Great Falls, Montana to Clarence and Drusilla Ulmer on April 25, 1936. She was raised in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School. In her teen age years she worked at a car hop for Ford Drive In and also for a short time she work for the Great Falls School Administration.She was the office manager/bookkeeper and part owner in her fathers business.Ilene was an avid crafter in her younger years and she always took very good care of her pets. She loved playing softball years ago and was an avid bowler for many years.She was always interested in the activities of her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband, Larry R. Haferman of Great Falls; son Larry Haferman, Jr and wife Susan Carstensen of Bozeman; and two grandchildren Eric and Tara Haferman.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Webb, her parents Clarence and Drusilla Ulmer, and grandparents George and Mary Nicholson and Sophie and Gustav Ulmer.
