Herbert Frick

Herbert John Frick, a lifelong farmer and wonderful husband and father, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Peace Hospice after a long and courageous battle with cancer.Herb was born on August 23, 1950, in Great Falls. He grew up in Dutton on the family farm, graduating from Dutton High School in 1968. He attended Northern Montana College for one year, joined the Air National Guard June 1969, and was honorably discharged June of 1975.He married the love of his life, Corinne Hektner, on February 26, 1977. They raised their three sons, John, Brandon, and Lance, on the farm and moved to Great Falls in 1992. Herb continued to do what he loved most and cut his last crop in August of 2016.Family, friends, and farming were his greatest joys in life, but his passion was serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He enjoyed coaching his boys elementary and junior high basketball teams and later cheered them on as they played basketball and football at Great Falls High and UM Western.Herb was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Frick.He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Corinne; sons John Frick and wife Kelly, Brandon Frick, and Lance Frick; his three beloved grandchildren, Keely, Addison, and Easton Frick; brother Mike (Cristy) Frick; sister Linda (Mark) Olson; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins.Please join us as we celebrate a life well-lived on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at New City Church, 4114 North Park Trail, Great Falls.Memorial contributions in Herbs name can be made to Peace Hospice of Great Falls or the Forge Discipleship Program at New City Church.
