Henry Raymond St. Onge, 82, of Vaughn, a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired civil service employee, died on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Benefis East of natural causes.His funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.Interment will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Sun River Cemetery.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Henry was born June 27, 1930 to Henry and Blanche (Beaulieu) St. Onge in Lowell, Massachusetts, where he was raised and educated.Following the death of his father, he needed to go to work at a young age.He delivered groceries and various jobs including the railroad before he entered the U.S. Air Force.After Tech School, he was stationed in Great Falls until 1955, where he was then assigned to a number of bases, including a tour in Tripoli, Libya, North Africa.He was stationed back in Great Falls from 1962 to 1966 and returned to Great Falls making it their home when he retired after 23 years in the military. He continued to work civil service at the commissary until he retired in 1993.He married Maryanne Cox on November, 1952 in Great Falls. Maryanne and Ray had four children together.Maryanne passed away April 20, 1978 after 26 years of marriage.Henry was a lifetime member of the Elk Lodge and was with the drum and bugle corp.He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to cook for everyone.No one came to his home without him fixing food for them.Survivors include his sons, Ray (Shar) St. Onge of Fort Shaw and Ronnie (Sherri) St. Onge of Vaughn; his daughter, Diane (Dave) Anderson of Vaughn; special friend and companion, Susan Newberg of Helena; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Maryanne; son Ricky St. Onge; sisters Lou Viera and June Rocheleau of Maine; and brother Donald St. Onge of Maine.In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Vaughn Fire Department/QRU, c/o Ray St. Onge PO Box 133, Ft.
