Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Henry was born on January 16, 1923 in Columbus Hospital in Great Falls. He was raised at Power and graduated from Power High School. He married his sweetheart, Catherine Shea in 1945 and farmed the family’s original homestead until his grandsons took over the farming in 2018. Henry was a bus driver for Power School for many years and helped refurbish the old Power railroad depot into the present-day Whistlestop Power Senior Center. He was one of the original members of the Power Fire Department, and a team member of Whiz Bang Construction Company (a group of friends who built, remodeled or fixed houses in Power for many years). Henry served on the water board, the waste management board, and helped with the installation of water into the town of Power. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was actively involved with Guardian Angel Catholic Church. He was a good mechanic, and liked engineering projects and building things. His kids thought he could fix anything. Until the last year he was finding his way to his shop every day. Henry is the youngest of 5 children to Louis and Adolorata Menghini. He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 siblings, Ann O’Day, Art Menghini, Rudy Menghini, Lydia Rosenau, and Herman Menghini; son William Henry, and son-in-law John Shanahan. He leaves behind his wife, Catherine Shea; daughters Carol Ostberg (Ron), Janice Denson (Douglas), Julie Blair Menghini, and Kathy Shanahan; 8 grandchildren, Chris Ostberg (Joy), Stephen Ostberg (Cari), Alex Ostberg (Michelle), Levi Ostberg (Kristen), Katie Menghini Regier (Mark), Louis Menghini, Angie Menghini, and Abby Shea Denson Pigott (Sean); and 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous devoted nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to Power Senior Center, Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Power or Power Volunteer Fire Department.
