Henry Damon, Jr

Henry Damon Jr, 67, of Great Falls, died of natural causes on Friday, July 20, 2012 at his home.No services are planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Henry was born on February 10, 1945, to Henry and Lillian (LaPlaunt) Damon. He attended West Elementary School and then worked at Asphalt Paving with his father. He was a custodian at the Mint Bar, as well as the Vista Club in Kalispell. He also worked for Sletten Construction and ended his working career with the Great Falls School District from 1971 to 1980.Henry enjoyed hunting in Jefferson Creek with his friends and cousin. Fishing at Holter Dam was one of his favorite past times. He loved country music and spent many hours listening to Patsy Cline, George Jones, and Merle Haggard.Survivors include his children Jacque Damon of Missoula, Kristie Damon of Great Falls; a brother George Damon of Great Falls; sisters Loretta Davis of Great Falls and Lilly Marlene Martin of Belt; grandchildren Savannah and Kaylie; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father Henry Damon, Sr; his mother Lillian Damon Cinker; sisters Betty Jean Damon and Patricia Ann Swan; a brother Edward Eddie Damon, Sr.
