Helen J. Suek, 76, of Great Falls, a retired licensed practical nurse, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 of Lupus at her residence. Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Black Eagle.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Black Eagle.Burial of ashes will immediately follow the funeral service at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Helen was born on June 5, 1935 in Peerless, Montana to Marion and Stella Suchy, where she was raised on the family homestead.She attended school in Peerless and graduated from Peerless High School. In 1955, she married Arnold Suek. She attended Great Falls Technical College and earned a license practical nursing degree.She worked for the Cascade County Nursing Home for many years until her retirement.She then continued to do volunteer work at the Missouri River Manor and numerous health fairs.Helen was a member of Blessed Sacrament Chapel and was active in Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.Helen enjoyed working in her garden and with her flowers.She loved to travel to visit family and friends and she was a devoted Seattle Mariners baseball fan.Helen is survived by her daughters, Denise (Paul) Charron of Anchorage, AK, Mary (Doug) Keeler of Great Falls; son Joseph Suek of Ulm; sisters-in-law Darlene Wilson of Vaughn, Connie Burchak of Bozeman, Sharon Suek of Great Falls, Carol Suek of Great Falls and Patty Brown of Billings; grandchildren Jennifer Charron, John Charron, and Julie Bray all of Anchorage, AK and Brian Keeler, Stacy Keeler and Levi Peterson of Great Falls; and great-grandchild Talise Gionson of Anchorage, AK.She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Suek.
