Helen Blomberg

Helen Nottingham Blomberg, 101 3/4, was born in Great Falls MT on March 4th, 1921, and was raised on a ranch in the Highwood Mountains. She passed away on December 14, 2022, in Great Falls, MT. She was the last surviving child of Orris and Ollie Nottingham and cattle rancher in the Highwood Mountains.

Helen started her education in a one room country school and graduated from Highwood Highschool.

In 1941, she moved to Great Falls and worked as a photographer's assistant in the former 20th Century Studios. Helen loved her garden and flowers, and spent many hours at the sewing machine making clothes for her children. She married Clifford Blomberg in 1945 shortly before he left for Okinawa, he died in 1947.

At her request no funeral is planned.

Helen is survived by a son, Leland Blomberg; and a daughter, Carolyn Mckay (Dana Obrecht). She has seven grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Connie Aaberg, and Ginger Powell; great-grandson, Michael Garten; her parents; four brothers, Irvin, Elmer “Lloyd”, Herman, and Roy; and three sisters, Maude Mee, Elise Kynett, Irene Rowe.
