Hazel Marie (Luoma) Budeski, 83, of Great Falls, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 from natural causes.A visitation will be from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Schnider Funeral Home. A vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. with a viewing one hour prior on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.A funeral liturgy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Hazel was born on February 21, 1930 in Great Falls, Montana to Art and Olive Luoma. She was the oldest of three daughters.She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1948. In July 1950, Hazel married Richard Budeski.They were happily married for 53 years.Along with raising four children, Hazel worked as a telephone operator at the East Base, and then went to work for the Great Northern Railroad as a secretary and office manager. In 1975, the railroad took them to Havre working for the Burlington Northern until they retired and moved to Craig, MT. They enjoyed working in their yard and traveling with the Good Sams, making many friends along the way. She also enjoyed canning, BINGO, jigsaw puzzles and search-a-words.Hazel volunteered at the Cascade Senior Center, along with working the Lewis and Clark elections. She also belonged to the Dearborn Garden Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.Hazel is survived by her son, William (LeAnn) Budeski; daughter Sanna (Jack) Czifro; daughter-in-law Colleen Budeski Le Lievre; grandchildren Kristi (Charlie) Hill, Kerri (Storm) Norick, Jamie (Kyle) Mintz, Jessica (Ben) Lopuch, Jolene (Kevin) Callahan, Nick (Brittany) Budeski, and Michael Budeski; great-grandchildren Chase, Clay, Taylee, Garrett, Everett, Logan and Leila; sister Sharon Smith; brother-in-law Ron (Janice) Budeski; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Janice; and many, many others.She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dick; sons Steve and Jim; sister Charlotte; and her beloved cocker spaniel, Katie.Memorials in Hazels name may be made to the donors choice.
