When it was branding season there always seemed to be a lot of extra help, due to the men enjoying Goldies cooking. Glen and Goldie lived on the ranch until Glen retired in 1986. At that time, they moved to Simms and did extensive traveling. They did everything together and always had a great time.Mom enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, baking and crocheting. Mom had a great sense of humor so when the discussion of her obituary came up, she said we could say she enjoyed bungee jumping and skydiving in her later years, just to see if anyone was paying attention.Goldie is survived by her husband, Glen; son Bernard (Janet) Cox and daughter Valerie (Jeff) Hoock; brothers Ken (Toni) Peters and Harold (Ruth) Peters; 5 grandchildren, Melanie Cox, Lisa (Frankie) Cox, Bill (Billie) Cox, Trevor Howard and Morgen (Travis) Howard; 4 great-grandchildren, but the light of her life was Coopar Shumate.
