Gloria Murphy

Gloria L. Murphy, 87, of Great Falls, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Gloria was born on October 4, 1927 in Niobara, Nebraska to Emery and Pansy Golden. She received her education in Nebraska. Gloria married Charles Murphy and moved from Nebraska to Butte, MT and then moved to Great Falls. She worked as a bartender and waitress at the Westside VFW. She and Charles later divorced. She had a special friend, Dwayne Leininger who previously passed away.She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Humane Society.Gloria is survived by her sons, Rodney (Elaine) Quinn of Colorado, John Murphy of Great Falls, Brett Murphy of Conrad and Terry Murphy of Great Falls; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Miller.Memorials in Glorias name may be made to the Humane Society of Cascade County, PO Box 1774, Great Falls, MT 59403.
